Prospective Company Drivers: Flatbed Fleet

Thank you for considering Mitchell Bros. Truck Line, Inc.    We represent a fleet of drivers that we believe are the finest in the industry today.  Mitchell Bros. is a premier flatbed and container company based out of Vancouver, WA (just across the river from Portland, Oregon).  Our flatbed fleet primarily serves customers in the five Western States: Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, and Montana.

Our flatbed division has newer model, conventional tractors along with 48 and 53-foot straight deck trailers, step decks, container chassis, and more.

PICK THE FLEET THAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU.

Based on openings, Mitchell Bros. will assign you to the fleet that works best for you, however, work may include occasional runs outside your assigned fleet area.

LOCAL FLEET = primarily runs within 50 mile radius of home terminal in Vancouver, WA. 

 

SHORT HAUL FLEET = primarily runs Oregon & Washington. 

 

TACOMA - SEATTLE BASED FLEET = runs Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Montana. Note: This fleet may include some British Columbia (Canada).

 

FLATBED FLEET PAY SCHEDULE:

Starting Pay / Base Pay for LOCAL or SHORT HAUL FLEETS

$16.50

Starting Pay / Bas Pay for TACOMA - SEATTLE BASED FLEET

$17.50

Note: To be eligible for this pay scale drivers must 1) reside in the Tacoma-Seattle area, 2) must park their assigned tractor in either the Tacoma or Seattle yard, and 3) must regularly start and end your shift at either the Tacoma or Seattle yard.

   

Note(s):

1. Drivers shall be eligible for overtime pay after exceeding 40 hours in a Sunday through Saturday work week. The overtime rate shall be your regular hourly rate plus 1/2 of your hourly rate.

2. Drivers who work a shift of 5 hours or more are expected to take a one-half hour unpaid meal break between the 2nd and 5th hour of working. Meal breaks are not to be taken at the beginning or end of a shift. There are some exceptions when hauling hazardous material cargo. Any other exceptions must be authorized by your dispatcher/supervisor.

ADDITIONAL PAY & BENEFITS FOR DRIVERS IN OUR FLATBED FLEET:

•Referral Bonus Pay. You can earn extra money if you refer a company driver or owner-operator (excluding lease purchase operator) that we sign on. For more complete details, ask company representative.
